Our vision for reconciliation is to create a culture of friendship between Freehills and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations and communities.
In August 2011, Freehills' Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) was launched by Gavin Bell, Freehills CEO/Managing Partner and member of our Reconciliation Action Plan Steering Committee.
The commitments in Freehills’ RAP are the result of firm-wide consultation and conversations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations with which we work, including our friends and colleagues at Reconciliation Australia, the Australian Indigenous Minority Supplier Council, CareerTrackers, Clontarf Foundation, Jawun, the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence and Yalari.
The RAP encapsulates Freehills’ whole of business approach to practical reconciliation—from the provision of legal services and business skills, developing educational and employment opportunities, building inclusive procurement practices, to building respect and cultural awareness.
Please view the RAP online and if you would like a printed copy, please email freehillsfoundation@freehills.com.
