Graduate Acceleration Program
As a commercial lawyer at Freehills you are going to need some skills that you may not have had a chance to develop yet. So we have designed a program to help you build those skills.
Our graduate acceleration program is a national program for all graduates. It includes:
- a comprehensive orientation program when you start with Freehills
- rotations in three different practice areas where you can ‘learn on the job’
- a comprehensive legal learning program covering all aspects of our practice and general legal issues
- skills training in areas such as drafting, researching, communication and business skills
- our ‘commercial series’ of industry and client seminars to help you understand the business issues facing our clients, and
- a series of modules to help you manage your career and your development as a solicitor at Freehills.
Our development plan for graduates is more than just a list of programs and topics. It is based on a unique set of behaviours that we know leads to success at Freehills. Based on detailed empirical research conducted at Freehills, these behaviours provide a development roadmap which will enable each individual graduate to plan their own pathway to success based on their areas of strength and their areas requiring further development.
Graduates also complete their admission requirements through a tailored practical legal training program, delivered by The College of Law.
